CAT CORA TAPROOM | @ dtw airport, michigan
Concept Design, Design Development
Client: HBF Airports
World renowned chef Cat Cora, most commonly recognizable from Iron Chef America, began her career in culinary very early on. Using the same values and high quality standards of current Cat Cora’s restaurants, we focused on bringing that feeling when walking into an English tavern, with high quality ingredients, creative dishes and ground-breaking cocktails.
The contemporary design, warm and intimate with a mix of upscale dining to casual cocktails, we designed the space to welcome and appease to the different tastes and moods of travel costumers. The attention grabbing back lit bar serves as both a backdrop and a focal point. Intimate lighting, and color porcelain tiles, tied together with light and dark tone furnishings that enhance and provide sophistication to the Taproom’s design. Convenient, remote seating with a satellite bar located adjacent to the moving sidewalk offers a variety of seating for travelers to choose from.
For those travelers who have less time to enjoy the new Cat Cora environment, a Grab n’ Go fresh market provide food and beverage options, all made fresh true to Cat Cora’s quality and standard for busy travelers. Whatever your needs are Cat Cora is the right choice.
We wanted to create an inviting fireplace to relax by in the lounge area, to be enjoyed with traveling families, friends or colleagues. One can experience this relaxed atmosphere at any time of day with menu selections for breakfast, lunch or dinner. All animated by a Cat Cora’s signature of an open Kitchen.
Opportunities to plug in personal electronic devices are available at all perimeter seats, counter seating, and bar locations. Large screen TV’s and convenience outlets are purposefully placed for guests to get the most out of their visit.
For those travelers who have less time to enjoy the new Cat Cora environment, a Grab & Go will provide fresh food and beverage options, all made fresh true to Cat Cora’s quality and standard.
